Tubular Skylights
VELUX SUN TUNNEL™ skylights bring natural sunlight to dark, interior spaces. They bring all of the advantages of a typical skylight without the associated energy losses.
SUN TUNNELS™ are Energy Star rated products. They help conserve energy by reducing the need for lightbulbs without adding to heating and cooling loads in a home. Unlike a normal skylight, a SUN TUNNEL™ doesn't provide an easy avenue for heat to escape in the winter, or enter in the summer.
Due to their energy saving qualities, SUN TUNNELS™ qualify for the federal 30% energy efficiency tax credit. Just like solar electric systems, you will get 30% of the cost of SUN TUNNEL™ skylights up to $1,500 back when you pay your taxes.
SUN TUNNELS™ are now available with both rigid and flexible tunnels. This makes it easy to route the sunlight around obstacles in attic spaces to reach previously inaccessible spaces.
