Everyone loves solar - it's new, exciting, beneficial to the environment, and just plain cool, but it is only now being adopted by so many people because it finally makes financial sense. Thanks to advances in the technology, and some generous state and federal incentives, solar makes financial sense with a short payback for both residential and commercial systems.

Residential

Federal Tax Credit
Any Residential Solar System in the entire country qualifies for a 30% federal tax credit. This is a dollar for dollar reduction in the amount of taxes owed based on the cost of your system. For example, if your system cost $45,000, you would get a tax credit of $13,500. Reducing the net cost of your system down to $31,500. If you don't have enough tax liability to use up your tax credit the first year, it can be carried over year after year until it is used up.

State Rebate Programs
Each of the states we service has a good state rebate program for solar. The amount of your rebate varies from state to state, but they all come in the same form. Once your system is completed and turned on, we file for your rebate and within a few months, the state issues you a check.

SREC Program
The various state SREC programs are a unique way of having utility companies subsidize your solar system. Every time your system produces 1,000 kWh, you are issued an SREC. Utility companies are required to purchase them from you. This subsidy comes in the form of periodic checks from our SREC broker to you. With the SREC programs, your solar system can actually provide you with periodic extra income.

Commercial

Federal Grant Program
In lieu of the federal tax credit, right now, businesses can opt to take that 30% as a grant payment upon completion of the job. This helps ease the capital expenditure of a large commercial system.

State Rebate Programs
Each of the states we service also has a good state rebate program for commercial solar. The amount of your rebate varies from state to state, but they all come in the same form. Once your system is completed and turned on, we file for your rebate and within a few months, the state issues you a check.
